Our New Datacentre

Designed to grow into, our new data centre will be utilising the latest in Hot Aisle Containment Systems (HACS), which makes us one of the UKs first co-location facilities using HACS.

Better cooling - more flexibility

Our HACS system allows us to be completely flexible and provide you with what you want. You won't find us shying away if you mention blade servers. We are completely blade friendly.

Full racks are available in 8, 16 & 32+ amp configurations and we are also able to provide managed 8A half racks. If you need higher power, we would be happy to discuss your requirements. Just contact us.

Greener

Combined with 'free cooling' chiller systems attached to our HACS, we are able to reduce the amount of energy required to run your equipment. While this may not seem so significant now, governments of the world are committed to driving down green house gas emissions created by the generation of electricity and the blunt instrument they will start to use more heavily will be tax. Co-locating with a data centre that is already working to providing energy efficient systemswill ensure that you are able to minimise any 'carbon taxes' that may be introduced.

Network

Your rack will be connected to our core network by a 1Gb/s link as standard. This can auto sense between 10Mb/s, 100Mb/s and 1000Mb/s so don't worry if your switch is not yet gigabit capable (Why not talk to us about upgrading?).

Once attached to our core network your data is handed off to our edge routers and from there to the Internet. Because it is our own network, we are able to directly monitor and control how data is moved onto and out from the Internet. This ensures that we are always ahead of any bandwidth requirements and your data will never be slowed down.

Bandwidth is charged based on the industry standard 95th percentile with banded rates depending on the amount you commit to. The minimum amount is 1Mb/s. This is roughly 330Gb per month and many customers will find 10mb/s more than sufficient. Don't be fooled by offers of 1Tb of data, 10Mb/s is over 3Tb!
